Welcome to Norsub CrossFit, located in the heart of the Durbanville Suburbs. Managed and owned by Head Coach Barry Conradie, a seasoned Crossfitter with over 10 years of CrossFit experience and various qualifications.

Crossfit is for anyone, regardless of age, background, or fitness level. We are here to serve you and make sure you have FUN! Our main goal is to help you move better and get fitter and stronger while reaching your personal goals.

As a Coach, my goal is to rehabilitate a consistent lifestyle and keep you accountable with proper movement patterns and healthy food choices.

MEET THE COACH

Barry Conradie | Owner & Head Coach

I’ve always been very active and competitive in Sports. Playing rugby and going to the gym was part of my everyday lifestyle. After I stopped playing rugby, I moved to Cape Town. I realized I wanted to do something that gave me accountability and more of a challenge.

I joined a local Crossfit box in 2013 when “ CrossFit “ was still very new to the South African Fitness industry. A while into the Sport, I got asked by the gym owner if I would ever consider coaching and becoming more involved in the gym. I realized I had a big passion for this sport and coaching, so it was an obvious yes. I worked as head coach for two years while dreaming of opening my own box in the heart of the Northern Suburbs.

And here we are; Norsub CrossFit was established in 2015. A dream turned into reality.

Constantly Varied, Functional movements at high intensity. Increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains.

Private one-on-one sessions with Barry Conradie. Personalised training specific to each client's goals and abilities. Guided Nutritional advice and monthly body assessments, with results-based decision making.

PERSONAL TRAINING

A combination of bodyweight movements mixed into some cardiovascular activities, broken up into intervals switching between stations or sets. Working against the clock at a generally higher heart rate for short periods.

HIGH-INTENSITY TRAINING

A clear focus on basic movements isolated to less complex components with measurable data to easily track progress. Not specific only to weightlifting but also gymnastic movements and aerobic elements.

Consultation is done by a qualified nutrition coach. A holistic approach to nutrition based on specific needs and goals. A body assessment and a comprehensive nutritional guide based on the client's biometrics and goals.

A space for individuals going through rehab after injury or surgery. Aiding them in alternatives to specific movements, working around injuries, and slowly progressing them back into training as they reach full recovery.

WANT TO COME CHECK IT OUT?

After making contact with us, and booking a free trial class, you will be greeted by all of the friendly faces joining you for the session. Along with the rest of the class, you’ll be coached through all of the different components of the daily workout, the warm up, the strength, and the metabolic conditioning ( the more sweaty part ), by an expert coach, making sure you know everything there is to know about every movement and every piece of equipment you’ll be using. Our goal is to give you the best experience and to teach you to move better, by the end of your session, you should have a pretty good idea of how the setup works, and you should’ve learned something cool too.
